Need Help With Food?

Crescent Food Bank provides food support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship in Bolton and the surrounding area.

Our weekly food bank operates every Sunday from 10:00am to 11:00am at:

Support is provided on a first come, first served basis. Please be aware that queues can begin before 10:00am.

What You Need to Bring

When attending the food bank, please bring:

  • Photo ID for the person requiring support
  • Evidence of Universal Credit — this can be shown on your mobile phone or as a printed copy

If you are an asylum seeker or refugee, please bring your Home Office documentation or other relevant immigration paperwork instead of Universal Credit evidence.

Referrals

We accept both self-referrals and referrals from professionals and partner organisations.

If you have been referred by an organisation, please bring any referral information you have with you when attending.

Home Delivery Support

We provide a limited free home delivery service for people who are unable to travel to the food bank because of disability or significant mobility needs.

To be considered for home delivery, the main service user must normally be in receipt of a disability-related benefit and either:

  • live alone and be unable to travel to the food bank, or
  • live in a household where all members are unable to travel to the food bank.

Supporting evidence may be required as part of our assessment. Home delivery requests can be made by the individual requiring support or by a professional referral partner.
