May Half-Term 2021 School Parcels
Over the past few weeks CFB and its brilliant team of volunteers have successfully partnered with Clarendon primary (Haywood Park), Gaskell Community primary, St Williams of York RC primary school and St Thomas’ (Halliwell) in delivering a total of 74 food parcels.
Collaborating with the schools CFB were able to pre-determine dietary needs for the recipients, prepare parcels accordingly and deliver them accordingly. Families and children in need of aid were identified by the schools and food requirements were shared with the CFB.
Mohamed from Crescent Food Bank reached out to our school to see if they could help some of our deprived/needy families. I was able to identify a number of families who would benefit from some extra help. The food boxes arrived and they were phenomenal. They were packed with essentials, fresh food and even treats for the kids. We were blown away by the generosity of this charity.
On a separate occasion I contacted Mohamed again regarding a family in crisis, there were several children in the home with mum, as dad had been ill in hospital for some time, they were able to provide much needed resources for the family for which they were tremendously grateful.
I cannot speak highly enough of Crescent Food Bank, in their generosity, empathy, kindness and understanding and I would recommend them to ANYONE, who may need a little friendly help. Whether that be food, advice or support.
Thank you so much Crescent Food Bank, you have made such a difference in our school community.Clarendon Primary
